Beach Tips for Sicily
- Go early or late - Beaches are empty before 10am and after 5pm
- Bring water shoes - Many beaches are rocky, not sandy
- August is crazy - All of Italy is on holiday, beaches are packed
- Look for "spiaggia libera" - Free public beaches between the paid lidos
- Pack a picnic - Some of the best beaches have no facilities
