Ancient history meets baroque beauty
Syracuse (Siracusa) was once the most powerful city in the ancient world - larger than Athens. Today, the island of Ortigia is one of Italy's most beautiful historic centers. The southeast is also home to the baroque towns of Noto, Ragusa, and Modica, all UNESCO World Heritage sites.
This region has some of Sicily's best beaches, excellent wine (Nero d'Avola country), and a more relaxed pace than the big cities.
The southeast has become popular with international buyers, especially around Noto and Ragusa. Prices have risen but remain reasonable. Ortigia is more expensive but offers that unique island-within-a-city lifestyle.
The Syracuse region is magical. Ancient history, beautiful beaches, incredible food and wine. We can help you find your place here.
